Vice Admiral, US Coast Guard (ret.) Sandra Stosz served as commanding officer of the Coast Guard’s Recruit Training Center in Cape May, NJ, and as the first woman to command the US Coast Guard Academy and the first woman to command any of the US armed forces service academies. Vice Admiral Stosz served for 36 years, including 12 years at sea.
